I was delighted with your Chopin Scherzo; my wife was so excited by the Liszt Tarantelle di Bravura that she sought you out on Youtube and listened again and again. We would like to have been able to come to the Wigmore Hall on 8 February for your Debut. Unfortunately my wife has to be in hospital in Nottingham and we cannot go to London. We wish you well and you may meet there our friend, Lord Low, who lives in London and certainly intends to go. I have told him how much we have enjoyed your playing and he may seek you out. 15/01/2012 18:33 Like Betty I am keen to have a recording of your playing. I was at the St. David's in Cardiff on Tuesday and really enjoyed the whole programme. My absolute favourite was your encore from Play Piano Play and I would love a recording of the whole of that together with Gershwin's Concerto in F and the medley from Carmen. I hope you will come back to Cardiff before too long.

I notice that Gershwin's Concerto in F is in your repertoire and would love to have a recording of you playing both that and the whole of Play Piano Play.
15/01/2012 13:25 Thank you very much for your recital in Nottingham today, 15.01.12. Whilst I'm sure that afterwards most of the audience was talking about your bravura Liszt the highlights for me were the Messiaen and the Scriabin. Fantastic technique is really a given these days but you also have a really beautiful touch at the keyboard, which is far rarer, and I'm sure that a career as successful as other Leeds alumni - Perahia, Lupu, Schiff and Uchida - awaits you.
10/01/2012 18:19 I have just returned from hearing Alessandro Taverna play at a lunchtime concert in St. Davids Hall Cardiff. What a wonderful experience. The Chopin Grande Valse Brillante is a favourite of mine and we were lucky enough to have an encore of an piece from a book 'Play Piano Play', very entertaining and exciting. I remember Alessandro from the 2009 Leeds International Piano Competition and count myself fortunate to have seen him perform so close to home.

I wish I could listen to you day and night! God has given you a special gift. As a small child I was fortunate enough to listen to the greatest pianists at the Lucerne Summer Festivals.
